Last time there was measurable snow in December there was measurable snow the following March.

This might be the March that delivers. Will have a better idea of that in a couple weeks. OMG to last time in 2018 , wow !!!

Fwiw, Cfs2 is really wet in the east for March. If we can get some of that to come in before the end of the month, we'll be tired of shoveling.

Ukie's a nyet

Fwiw, ukie was abysmal with the current storm. I mean absolutely terrible. Euro/ai appear to be doing the best (shocker lol), cmc #2, gfs/ai #3. Imho, based on what I've seen so far this season, you can pretty much hug the euro/ai combo inside of 7 days and use the cmc for confirmation. Gfs seems to only add uncertainty into the mix

And every other storm since 2022

It’s wild seeing Charlotte getting a flush hit right now while we can only muster storms that are majority sleet. There’s something truly off with this pattern for big snows in the MA.

Seems like there’s two winning teams for this current storm…those that are closest to the ULL passage (eg, Charlotte) which we needed here and those in the coastal sections closest to the redeveloping surface low. Definitely some dryslotting in between.

Lol…now you’re just making things up. You do recall that not only did many get 6+ before the flip to sleet last Sunday, a good chunk of the area had a 6-12 powder hit last January, too.
