Looks like Upton gonna bust on the winds as usual. NYC east will probably meet high wind warning criteria. Most models didn’t even have the strongest winds til tonight

Davis weather stations don't report in km/hr usually without setting to it and the article and story done last time they had huge winds talked about the station etc. I could be mistaken.

Most models still have the strongest winds starting overnight tonight through early tomorrow... this is the euro.

There’s some elevated instability. There will be some embedded thunderstorms in these bands. Wouldn’t be shocked to see a waterspout or two later try and come onshore.

Also I really don’t see much of a break. The low is stationary and the bands will continue to rotate in. It won’t be steady but it will be frequent.

The only thing is, as it comes West, that will start the weakening phase. But there will be a window where things peak wind wise late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Sorry to hear that. I can relate, had one fall on my house during the 5/15/18 severe outbreak. No fun but glad it sounds like you are ok but it makes a lasting not so fun memory. Best of luck with the repairs.

Tidal flooding in Island Park Nassau County. Just heard MTA PD say there's a high water condition so no LIRR service on that branch east of Valley Stream

Not exactly a beach day - although people complained they lost some of their view of the ocean from the boardwalk building that Dune Barrier after Sandy destroyed the Seaside Heights boardwalk was a very good idea
