MainePhotog
27.1°F Light freezing rain. Very icy. Good morning for crampons. Looks like the heavier freezing rain will be moving in shortly.
weatherMA
Interesting all the ZR. Up to 32F here, but still all snow. I'm assuming we will fall back a degree once heavier precip picks up, before rising again?

powderfreak
Just started snowing here in St. Johnsbury Yeah light snow here too... pretty classic E/SE flow on the p-type radar with the west slopes seeing some slight compressional warming. HoarfrostHubb
Rain and 33° F here. Downslope flow on easterly winds is warming up the boundary layer just enough. I just can't get freezing rain here. The Decemeber 2008 ice storm was a 33° F rainer as well. The webcams up in Peru and Woodford look icy, so no snow there either. I absolutely busted on my forecast for everyone, but especially for your area
sankaty
We've had a nontrivial icing event down here in the valley. The lawns are frosted over, there's a couple tenths accretion on the trees, and the driveway was more slippery than I've seen in during a FZ event in the past ten years. We've had events with more accretion on trees over the past few years, but this morning was the most I've seen on paved surfaces in quite a while. The temp has only just ticked up the 33F. I've heard of several traffic accidents/falls today. We weren't even under an advisory until late last night, so I think people were taken by surprise. drew13btv
1/4 from KBTV snow now light picked up from flurries over the past hour. Every road seems to be glazed over. Even without a lot of snowfall the potential for dangerous accidents if this even has the perception of being a bust exists big time.

It seems like the valley around Middletown and down to Higganum held the cold even better than we did in HFD/BDL. Really impressive this morning. We managed 0.05" of accretion here and then were done but everything was crusted (lawn, trees, etc) - what do you think the total accretion was? NorEastermass128
What a difference between here (Boston) and home (Woburn). Left the house at 10:45 with the temperature of 32.4F (ice accretion even on driveway! <-- rare for E MA). Got to about Exit 30 on 93S and the temp shot into the 40s. Hit 47 on the Zakim. That beast to the east sure is influential.
snowgeek
33.1F / 33F here with mangled flakes mixing in under heavier precip. BTW, are those gravity waves on the ALB radar, south of ALB? Or are they oragraphic from the Berks?
CT Valley Snowman
I am in a spot a couple miles from the Connecticut River in Middletown Connecticutand there is some pretty good ice on some of the trees, I checked Mesonet and a reading around a 1/4 mile from me says 32.2 , it looks like it's one of the last holdouts in all of Connecticut

Really impressive this morning. We managed 0.05" of accretion here and then were done but everything was crusted (lawn, trees, etc) - what do you think the total accretion was? I didn't get a chance to measure, but was eyeballing a couple of tenths? I make no claim to be an accurate accretion estimator. I did take this lame cell phone photograph this morning. Perhaps it is enough to give you a sense? The greater Middletown/Meriden area seems to have at least one event per year we're much icier than almost all surrounding areas. I remember one of our biggest icestorms in the middle of January 2011 (the 18th?) seemed extremely localized.

eyewall
Very sloppy flakes with almost the "white rain" look at times and 36F here in the BTV vicinity. Nothing is accumulating as of yet. It is going to take some heavy rates to overcome these BL issues.
