Winds peaked here at like 5 am, probably gusting in the low 50s then, now its more like 40-45 range. So far I'd say the wind advisory has sufficed here, doesn't seem like wind is as bad as what you'd see from a higher end event.

A lot of high res models have strongest winds tonight into 12z ish tomorrow

Winds are strong here but I wouldn’t say it’s anything unusual from a Nor’easter system. The long duration is what’s causing the most damage

About an inch of rain.  Peak wind gust 55 mph.  Coastal flooding a little less than expected. I'm not sold on any stronger winds later but probably another short period of 50ish mph.

Got about an hour and 10min of the ol footy in in Sayville just now. Caught a good pocket of dryness/mist before it opened up about 9:45. Pretty gusty, and actually chilly, car said it was 56 degrees when I got back into it, but a nice run before eating and drinking tonight lol

Wind and Rain here which goes between light and heavy.  Lots of twigs and small branches down.
There's reports that the YMCA building in Hardyston - Sussex County lost part of it's roof.  Judging by the photo, it looks pretty siginifcant.

If you’re taking about 30 (White Horse Pike) most of that portion of the road is at sea level. It floods there during astronomically high tides. It used to be a great crabbing spot. Check out the High Point Pub in Absecon. Great wings, calzones and other food. It looks like a bar from the outside but there’s a large dining room in the back. And Ghilchrest for breakfast. Best blueberry pancakes you’ll have in your life.

Yup I just heard that on the radio too.  Looking at the radar, it does look like a bit of a longer lull after lunch for LI and the city with random light showers and drizzle.

Queens was mostly dry slotted from 0900 to 1030 with only random areas of drizzle but that blob over LI and the sound pushed east into the city and is over us now.  Mostly lighter rains with this wave.
