On a cruise back into Port of NY in Brooklyn. Due in tomorrow at 0830. Left Halifax NS last night. Port is currently closed. Amtrak-Acela has cancelled everything north of NYC. Got a refund on tickets. Will rent a car one way to drive home whenever we get off of ship. In open water south of Cape Cod. Occasional gale winds and currently 4m seas. Could see 5-6m later today. Very foggy. Foghorn going off every 2 min.

I’m on a cruise ship that just left Halifax NS heading back to Brooklyn Sunday am. Not a delight. Tomorrow will feature a lot of protein spills.

Yeah. My Philly raised friend lives in St Pete. She is prepping for the storm today to be ready to be at the NICU in Tampa for the storm. She would probably let him ride out the storm at her place. You know, so he can experience the ease.

In Shepherdstown, roughly 2008 or so, there was a lovely spring day when I went into the Food Lion there for a quick 5pm grab veggies for dinner, and the produce dept was pretty much empty. Like, nothing. It looked when I went to Harris Teeter just before they closed on the eve of Snowmageddon, but only in produce. The rest of the store was fine. The produce manager went on vacation. No one did the order while they were gone. I bought a veggie tray so that I could make dinner. People don't realize how razor thin those margins are. Hope you get the chicken soon.
