Curious to see if the stream next to my place is running again after that…it had dried up the last few days, though Catoctin Creek was flowing nicely 10 days ago when I crossed it to hike up Three Saws. There just hasn’t been any real precip issues here the last couple months…we’ve done pretty well in that department, relatively speaking.

dailylurker
Damn good storm imby. It wasn't one of those pours for 5 minutes and that's it. It kept coming and coming. It's still steady moderate rain and thundering. I'd estimate an inch or more. It was a classic thunderstorm.

katabatic
Sun is out after 0.16" of rain. I hit 70F dews only a few times per year and this afternoon it reached nearly 72F which, iirc, is the second highest since moving here in '22.

Mrs.J
Was deciding if we wanted to eat on the deck tonight. Stuck my head out. Ah that would be big NO. 81 degrees with 84 percent humidity and a dew of 75.9. Super thick out there.

BlizzardNole
I finally got to see a thunderstorm with some good lightning while visiting my parents in northern Calvert. Prince Frederick got a flush hit with the Mesonet station there recording 1.19 but my place (blue dot) was just outside of it. So close though!

dailylurker
I haven't seen all my windows fogged up like this since last season. That's always a good sign on a thunderstorm day. Last evenings classic summer thunderstorm was great. I sat outside for the entire thing. I even got to experience a couple close strikes that rocked the ground. Today looks like storm chances hold off until later in the evening. Getting another storm today would be beneficial.
