5-6” or so, snow is no longer wet fluffy dimes but heavy dandruff. Power has dimmed and flashed a few times.

I just measured 6.5” and it looks like we have at least four more hours of 1” an hour rates on the HRRR.

Woke up to 2” of snow overnight.  31 and moderate sleet right now.  Winds really whipping.  Living at northern tip of Gaston County near border with Lincoln and Cleveland I thought we’d be in the 6” - 12” range.  Wise to pay attention to NAM inside 48 hrs. Can’t say I’m disappointed though. I’m 53 and can count on 1 hand number of winter storms I’ve experienced before Christmas.  Now heading out to sled with grandson!

Looks like north of 6 inches now here in southwest Durham. I am in a wooded area so there is less under some trees but everything is pasted nicely. The road surfaces also had around half that amount:

30.9 to 31.3 in last 30 min in south central Wake County, NC. Steady rain - decent glaze on trees on top of the 2.5in snow/sleet pack

I'm at 8". Amazing. I think what did the trick was the warm nose got pushed back temporarily to give us 5 more hours of snow.

Yep.  From obs seems Meck did better than us.  It’s all good though.  Glad for those that cashed in.   Suspect this is not our last storm this season

Topped out at 1.75" down near Fuquay.  Grass barely covered!  It has been a rain/sleet mix for the past 2 hours.

About the same here just across the Johnston county line, maybe a little less but first time I've seen the ground white at all in December at my house since I moved down in 2010.

Uptown Charlotte, pouring sleet outside. About 1.5 inches of sleet accumulation looks to be here to stay. At least 0.2 ZR on cars parked outside as well.

Congrats to the Triangle folks who cashed in. Happy for y'all, just share the wealth next time :)

Picked up about 3/4" snow and sleet. Enough to pretty things up for a little while. Just a light mist/drizzle now with a cold 33 degree breeze.
