yup we ice

One wild card is going to be how quickly temperatures can drop though Friday night...it's going to be quite mild Friday. Wet bulb temperatures may not get much below freezing so even within the interior it may end up with alot of 33-34's. Might just be very localized areas but its something to watch

It’s going to be mostly CNE. Doubt much ice at all gets into SNE over the weekend. Maybe far N MA could see some marginal icing if things trended colder.

good thing temps have been trending down every run.. atleast as of now you could use your :weenie: to measure the ice.. if it trends any colder probably not

Doesn’t matter — the GEFS run surface anomaly output tells you this isn’t an icing setup at all. Not even close.

Great snow growth and grass whitening now in Boston Fenway area...

And forecasts definitely busted a few degrees too warm this morning with continuing northerly drain in place

As much as we continue to be starved for a meaty storm, at least this winter has given decent vibes with persistent cold and some white

In his defense, I do see plenty flames going up the east coast...

True... And this has pretty much been expected mid next week. But after that, it's pretty clear that things are changing. And it seems that most models are on board with the transition back to a colder and hopefully, fingers crossed, snowier regime.

Up to 33 here, didn't have a ice scraper so I had to wait for the temp to rise to get the ice off the windshield.

Retirement gives you the wait option. Back in the day would have used the edge of your coffee cup.
