This will be my 3rd year doing it. I did the Freedom Tower stair climb in June. Had to climb over 2k steps and 104 floors. Took me over an hour but I did it .

Out of boredom just dug up this shot from the October blowdown back in 2021. I think this is the one that produced a few 90 mph gusts and the damage was insane here. Even kev would’ve been in shock as we were boxed in for a solid week with trees and lines down everywhere. It was friggin wild man.

Loved working with your district!  In the end, it came down to too just too many clients.  I was up to 115 districts, add to that a few dozen other clients and all of my forensic work something had to give!  I'm at the point in my life where I wasn't looking to hire other Mets and run a multi employee business.  By far the school portion of my work was the most stressful and the liabilities were worrisome.  I will be dealing with winter weather clients but in a much less stressful fashion.

Just a quiet little town called norwell. I think I’m just a little southeast of Scott. We happen to be about five miles from the ocean so big wind events are nothing new around here but there’s been a few bigguns over the years. That 2021 storm was on another level though, never experienced winds nor damage of that intensity before.

That was basically a category one. The fire chief at the time in Marshfield sent me a picture of the anemometer that said 90.

That’s crazy but not totally surprising. I gotta do some digging on the mechanics behind that one as I don’t think the forecast ever called for gusts to reach higher than 60 at the time, which is still pretty respectable. I’m still finding trees and phantom limbs down when I go for walks that I’m willing to bet are attributed to that storm.

my wife said the store was mobbed with ppl buying your typical stuff ahead of a blizzard, they really hyped this up on the news, at least from what I hear, and no canes really this season, had to focus on something. Plus people here noreaster and I think subconsciously think snow storm, aside from the coast it's not that big a deal most of the time, the day before I left was more windy than now, we'll see what later and tomorrow brings

not sure what they do with all this stuff it's going to go bad when you buy 3 gallons of milk 5 loafs of bread etc

I went to go put gas in the gas can.  I realized there's no snowblower involved.  Force of habit. 

Last year with roads closed and impassable due to snow it was the first time a gas can actually mattered.

I hate that table, I wouldn't have minded if the chair was there :lol: 

But yeah that would have not been fun, especially having a dog. Getting the glass off the pavement wouldn't have been terrible but if any small pieces got into the lawn...yikes.
