The 4 Seasons
Connecticut Snowfall Totals. This is just a first pass map, there will be a more complete one coming with a full SNE map when i get some time over the next day or two. If there are any additional reports or errors let me know and ill look into it and fix them. Thanks to everyone who sent a report. Overall the forecast was very solid. Pretty much everyone fell within the ranges and the ranges were appropriate for CT. A little too high for Hartford, Tolland counties but that's about it, ill have a full picture once all the maps are done but m feeling an A- ish.

Maybe north and northeastern Hartford county fell just shy of 6", southwest-southern Harford county were well within the range close to the high end of that range. Great job

weatherwiz
Will give this a C+/B- forecast The bad: 1. definitely was not far enough northeast with accumulating snow. Reason being I thought the drier air farther north and east would be a problem, which it was but not to the overall extent. 2. The re-development. I was not expecting much in terms of re-development but that was enough to give many an extra few inches. 3. snowfall rates ended up being more than I was anticipating. I was in the thinking of up to 2-2.5” per hour while the reality was 3-4” per hour. This was a big factor in going with 4-7” versus something like 6-9”. The good 1. was happy with the fact that majority of the snow fell in a 3 hour window. 2. Was happy with the cutoff that occurred within CT between the heavier banding and when banding would begin losing some of its strength.
weathafella
The one thing that was a bit surprising was the fact that once radar echoes reached me it started snowing at a good rate. I thought I’d be fighting dry air but that seemed to be displaced 20-30 miles further north.

Amped
Just helped shovel some of 7-8" we had in Wesport. It felt pretty heavy for that amount. Not surprised given the small flake size, ratios were so-so. Best event Ive had in several years though.
WxWatcher007
A grade forecast here. Very proud of it, though annoyed I didn't call the 5pm start time in western CT. Glad we didn't take the numbers up yesterday when the models kept ramping up. Wish we put more of New London in our 4-8 zone.

bristolri_wx
Forecast: Verification: Grade B+ Biggest miss was Cape Ann area, where OES never materialized. Using a blend of the 3K NAM and HRRR as a smart idea, as HRRR was a little low for eastern areas and the 3K NAM was a little high. Forecast was accurate but would like to make a map farther out, maybe 24 hours, for the next one, as more of a challenge. This one was issued 3 hours before start time in CT...
