Friend (who's also a met) from Leesburg sent me this a bit ago: "So I measured a measly 0.04" of melted precipitation at 845am, and another 0.01 at 1pm. So I grand total of 1.7" from 0.05". I felt like it doesn't make sense so I measured the melted precipitation from a core sample off the deck that was around 1.25 to 1.5" and it was just above .03", so I don't know ha" Seems like some real fluff up there today
jayyy
Kinda surprised at this 7pm snow lol. Decent sized flakes in Columbia as I left work. Car re-topped
Bob Chill
Took the dog out for a long evening walk and man it was nice. Winter appeal everywhere and really got me in the mood for Christmas. Hope it looks just like this

Jebman
1 hour ago, Terpeast said: Baby Terpeast was born this morning, and both he and Miss Terpeast are doing well. Thanks for all the support and kind words (and the laughs from all these shoe jokes). And there was about 1.5” on the ground when I had a chance to go outside and get our stuff for the overnight hospital stays. Which is the same as the local Ashburn report for LWX. Looked like a real winter wonderland outside the 4th floor window. Today was a great day! Congrats on a perfect day! Best wishes for your family into the future! I only had 0.08" in my CoCoRahs gauge which is usually dead-on when it isn't windy. Then I took a core sample and only got a little more. I think I'm going to go with 1.8" on 0.09" precip for a 20:1 ratio. So, we busted low on precip but it didn't matter.
baltosquid
lol. Of course the spurious evening flurries in Baltimore after the main event are prettier and stickier than anything from said main event!
