I’ll go with 18” here but super hard to measure.  Could be more. Could be less.

There was another .5" on the board for a one day total of 18.7" that fell, it's compacted some but man it looks awesome out there, I believe the biggest storm since moving to Winsted, I'll have to check, lots of drifting and waving of the snow.

Just on the fringe of that first band moving NE, Those returns over upstate NY look to be dropping SE and over into Maine in the next few hours.

Yea I’m not on the “looks like crap” wagon with this.

the mid level vort moving through is intense and seeing the filling in, broadly out west looks like the expansiveness and intensity will exceed some of the latest guidance.

Looks like new Jersey to Maine

There’s 850mb and 700mb frontogenesis forcing swinging through NY state.

Yes, and the radar is showing the expansion of the field of precip. It is a good bit north of me, but we’ve started light snow here and I can see to my north the significant drop in visibility. Probably the wind’s blowing snow over this way and the radar of course miss estimates that. But I think it should be a snowy afternoon. Maybe 2 inches or if we’re lucky 4.

Went out for a walk this morning. Not too much overnight but we’re slowly making this thing respectable.

6.9” as of 7am

20.5” snow depth

But now this is where we can excel out here in the hinterlands. Radar shows little activity but we’re piling up powder. Models hinted at it  and if we can keep the spigot open it could be a good day.
