    Last year was an odd year for oaks in our area. I have a huge white oak in our front yard and i could not find one acorn dropped. I was told it was due to a fungus and the weather. It was a wide spread problem. I am wondering if this is fallout from that.

    over preforming here today. 88. Opened up the windows this morning after skunkmagendon. Nice day. Little swampy but enjoy it while it lasts.

    And now for the cherry on the top... someone hit a skunk or scared it.... air is dead still....just closed all the windows. Dank and stinky comes to mind.

    Last week we had storms go north and south. This week it was west and east. 4.65 for the month. This week was 2 inches.

    I was working from home today. Just got the house painted and was waiting for the gutter guys oddly enough. They arrived at 2 and of course we got hammered at 3 pm. About a 1/2" of rain in 20 minutes. There was a 5 minute period that was crazy. They got the most important part done. Based on the forecast, see you when I see you.

    got another 1/4" of rain today, so that was good. I don't think we are getting jack out of the next round.

    I may have shared this story, but I was in Singapore in June of 2014. It was over 400 and it was about day three where I was about to lose it, but fortunately it cleared in the span of an afternoon. Indonesia loves to burn their jungles to create fertile land.

    It was a nothing burger for wind and lightning. We did get 0.35 inches of rain... gladly accept.

    Smoke is definitely better here now. The sun set looks almost normal. We had hours today like it looked like an apocalypse movie outside the office. Its 76 right and might actually open up the widows...

    75 for a low here. 84 right now. I am taking the under on 98 today. Looks like saturday night the windows finally get opened.

    NOAA had us modelled for 97 if my memory serves correct. I would be shocked if we did not break 100 here for the next two days. The low of 77 tomorrow night.. wonder if that's a record as well.

    We got to 96.8 here. Currently 90. Dew point is still 77.7. Its thick.

    This is going to be unpopular, but cutting down trees to make room for solar panels should be outlawed. Unless they are impeding on your house and possible storm damage. I drive through Maine and see acres of clear cuts for panels. Its gross. On top of commercial buildings, land fills, desert or other wastelands, fine. Edit.. I will add open hayfields to the ban.

    I was doing a little snooping on the Noaa weather site to see if its possible anyone gets close to 80 dewpoint. Wednesday afternoon has many in the high seventies with a threat of storms. Anyone who gets an afternoon storm, must walk out after and feel the jungle moister.

    HRR is putting the heavy axis of QPF in SNH and SVT. What are everyones thoughts on this? 3" max or more?
