    Been there. I just got the lucky draw this time. I get every 4th Friday off. We work a 19/20 schedule. And I like it.

    I remember when oil went over 5 dollars a gallon recently. I found this tidbit on the google machine. Historical Real Price (Inflation-Adjusted): While nominal prices spiked in 2022 to over $5 per gallon, the real cost (in 2026 dollars) was closer to $4.09.

    As someone who has a wood insert, pellet stove, heat pump and oil boiler FHW, I can say with authority, if you buy wood and wood pellets and burn them, you do it for comfort only (that point heat source that is nice to stand beside and drive the cold out of your body). We burn 1 ton of pellets and 2 chord of wood per year. For the amount of effort and the expense, burning wood to stay warm is not a money saving adventure even at this elevated price.

    Went skiing with my son today. Got there at the opening bell and skied until 1:30. Snow was turning into a mess that my legs could no longer handle. We had a good coating of ice on top of 4". Hit 54. What a day. Bring on 70 degrees and lets get this mud season over with.

    Just took the dog out. We overperformed. 3 to 4 on the ground with snow and graupel/sleet coming down. 27 degrees. Skiing with the boy tomorrow. Going to be a strange day on the hill with new snow and 52 in the afternoon.

    Temperature dropped 3 degrees with steady light snow now. Might actually get that dusting they promised.

    Well today put a hole in the ice damns so no need to worry about that for the year. Looking ahead, it appears to be a slow melt for our area with no major events. I will take it.

    Clouds are hanging tough here. 47 for the high so far which was forecasted. If we had full sun we would be well into a 50 degree day.

    I did not hit double digits here. My guess is somewhere between 5 and 8 inches and it was not that heavy. This one blew harder than recent storms, but it seems the GFS was onto the central SNH cut back yesterday afternoon. Just east of me like Nahua seems to be getting buried. Any of you Nashua guys confirm?

    Looks like a nice saturday but the cold is persistant on the long range. Need some days of melting or I might loose my mind.

    Woke up to 1". According to forecast last night, should have been 3 to 4. Can hear the wind in the tops of the pines but not really making it to ground.
