This is probably the best radar I’ve ever seen that wasn’t a coastal…and even with the coastals, prob only a few would surpass this look…your firehose type events or maybe just incredible intensity in a large CCB like Feb 2013.

You can really see the midlevel bands from ENX over SNE. That would probably explain the intervals of regular growth and big growth.

That came in fast, 3.4F and already 1.5" down, had a brief burst of S+, some larger dendrites mixed in and then got heavy rates, back to moderate and smaller flake size.  Radar looking solid to the southwest

I remember hearing on other places that the high pressure would suppress it to the south. They said that a northern track would not happen, and DC would not mix.

I’m in W Hartford and just measured the same.  It was pretty darn close to 8”

I noticed a couple of really nice bands moved through Concord and then lessened an intensity just around or north of me. I assume the whole thing keeps shifting a bit north and some of those bands get up to you.
