Another Coating of Snow Saturday - "It's all we Got"

Continuous light/very light snow since 6 this morning, maybe 1.5" so far.  Hoping that by tomorrow this stuff will have bonded a bit with the underlying ice.

Maybe an inch or so? Idk but just a little too warm here for it to stick like it did in other areas.

Most of the guidance had my area getting dryslotted, while areas just to my west would get 3-5”. But today was a nice surprise, got a dusting that melted, then it’s been snowing again all afternoon.

Currently 2” on the dot and everything is covered. 33F

just got done cleaning, trying to keep my 76 yo dad in the house but that dude has work ethic like the Amish...any 6.0" even, compaction ftl tho as there's under 5.5" now OTG, if we can get lucky with some NW meso band tomorrow, will be a nice weekend for winter, winter back on, gotta check but I believe I'm a few inches from 30", and Jan isn't over, so we have a shot of climo finally in almost a decade.

Nothing over here, but just north in Pomfret, Woodstock, and Union have a decent coating

Speaking of ice…just went to walk the dog. Walking across my yard.  5” snow on top of glare ice+ gravity.   Whoops.  Flat on my back.  I don’t think I conked my noggin.  Tomorrow will be painful.

Sorry to hear about the fall. I’m so conscious about where I’m walking these days because I’m often carrying 20 month old.  Hopefully you feel OK tomorrow. Looks like you have a snow pack that’s gonna be around for a long time.

3.5".  Trees are caked.  Side roads are a mess.  4" on grassy surfaces.  Less under the trees and near warmer surfaces.  Very pasty snow.

Fresh dry snow atop glare ice is the nearest thing to a frictionless surface outside of a HS/college physics lab.

Falls are exciting.  Landings are painful.
