All said, that is one heck of a sharp cut-off both north and south. I don't see that robust of a snowfall, cut these in half and I think it is good. And if it does this, guess I'll join you on the shoe deal lol.

Temp is 33 and steady (if light) snow. Not amounting to much given the marginal temps, but it sure beats 38 and rain. Maybe some of this energy makes it over the hills?

I can see why the snow is having trouble finding its way north. My DP at 7 AM was 21. Now, it's a whopping 2. Talk about a beat down.

From 1958 thru 1971, the core of most of my childhood, the ponds  froze most  every winter, we skated  and sledded plenty. I can remember only two winters that did not deliver  like that.

It's getting refreshingly cool down here. It is about 29 degrees, 26 dewpoint at 4.28am Texas time. This is our 1st official low in the 20s lol.

NWS hoisted a FREEZE WARNING for lows near 30.

This may be a Nina, but I have a feeling about this winter, especially in the East. Particularly the Mid Atlantic.
