Still clear here, temp down to 28.8/21.7. Looking on satellite I'm on the very northern side of the high cirrus going W to E. Probably another hour before the clouds start filling in. MIGHT see some snow before it goes all sleet/freezing rain, just gonna have to wait and see.

Wont be a single flake or sleet pellet here by the time precip starts. On the plus side, might see an inch of rain!

Good luck to the NW folks at elevation. An inch or 2 would be a win with this setup imo. Not bad for the very beginning of Dec, esp lately..

This is a pretty decent slug of moisture heading our way. But it is really moving fast.

That’s good. Precip is in and out in 6 hours. Our best shot is a heavy thump that dynamically cools the column enough to overcome the WAA for a few hours. There is no scenario where we get a slow moving prolonged frozen event.

Couple of surface features we have going for us:

1.) Dewpoint temps along and west of I-95 are still low. Some places even in the upper teens.

2.) Wet bulb temps from the metro north and west are all below freezing.

3.) Mesonet showing winds with a bit of a northerly component. Maybe the high is still entrenched a bit?
