Seems like the Euro OP midrange QPF bias beyond HR 150 is real. 2.) Long range warm ups may be head fakes. Also, as @mitchnick has observed it's good to see a persistent trough over Japan. 3.) I have no expectations that we're going to see some SECS or HECS this winter, but man it'd be nice to get a forum wide 6" - 10" event. This pattern would translate to a brutally cold, wall to wall winter. Unfortunately, we’re kinda due for it. Gotta get the outdoor activities in while I can. EstorilM
Hit 32.0 exactly this morning for the first time... today has this raw winter post-FROPA kinda look to it, with gusty winds and the lower sun angle (and shorter days) casting plenty of cloud shadows and making them seem darker in the process. Definitely one of those afternoons where you can tell it'll be cold tonight! Freeze warning for all of Loudoun.. I'm usually about 3-5 degrees cooler than forecast so we'll see. Actually, wasn't that most of last winter? lol
