Chris78
You know its hot when it's 94 up in the Catoctins at 5pm. Even on hot summer days when the area is in the 90s Cascade/ Catoctins area above 1500ft will be in the 80s. 94 is cooking for this area.

Jebman
You guys are stealing all of our 100s. We only managed 93 today. I'm jealous. We are supposed to get weeks and weeks of 104, while your region gets severe training thunderstorms. MGM National Harbor, they scored a 100/77 today. I am getting VERY JEALOUS up in here, now! Why in the heck is Austin struggling to hit 90 while the entire East Coast is 100 or better with lows almost 80?????? In June!!! ????? What the sam hill is going on here? Why is it hotter on the East Coast than anywhere in Texas?

katabatic
Cooled off fairly well last night; 65.7 goes in the books. While you are cooking today to a solid medium/medium-well, realize that Christmas Eve future is now closer than Christmas Eve past.

Eskimo Joe
Today definitely has that "ouch" feel to it. Today appears to be our best shot at hitting 100°.
Terpeast
91 at 9:30 am, running 2.5 degrees ahead of yesterday. Legit shot at 100 today, probably the better chance than tomorrow.

wxdude64
High was 91.5 here, no record (96 in 1988 and 1996), low was 67.3, also a miss (69 in 1996 and 2010). Already 78.5 as the last of the haze/fog just burned away with a stifling 71.4 DP at 9:45.

If so, here ya go! Lol That would probably be me lol. It's been spicy the last couple days, but I still prefer this over 45 and cloudy (in doses). But yea, this is at minimum a Tier 2 heat wave...the humidity has seemingly included every nearby body of water.

MN Transplant
The MD mesonet shows a good correlation between temps and sail moisture. The Salisbury area is dry and temps continue to run a couple of degrees warmer there. That’s why I’m still skeptical of hitting 100 this week.
