arlwx
About half the flights at DCA are still cancelled. But a few are actually departing now (in contrast to WTOP's claim).
Steve25
Snowed here from 8:30-12:30. Got 3.5 inches. That's pretty good for a day time snow. Changeover here just in time like the forecast showed. No dissapointment here. Got what I expected. Anyone that didn't get what was predicted, bust or boom? Paleocene
Got what I expected here in College Park. Took a jebwalk along the NW branch of the Anacostia in some light sleet. Wondering if we'll get that second wave of ice...
Scraff
For me, that’s a wrap! Loved this event. Totally worth the early bird start, Jebwalk in the heavies this morning, sledding with the kids late morning in the final push, homemade mac n cheese, a few good beers throughout.......and I’ll be napping until the happy hour GooFballuS. Oh. And I’m currently in love with the Maryland HRDerrapins model, but if someone could just conjure up a WVUDerps model......I’d be grateful. 1
arlwx
Don't leave home just yet if you don't have to. WTOP just noted nine crashes and two unresolved situations in its two-minute traffic report. I'm sure there are more out there.

Hopefully I can get some more frozen up here.
Steve25
Let's give a huge round of applause to the high pressure that allowed us to stay cold enough to get some snow out of a low track that had no business giving us snow. You the real MVP!
smokeybandit
I drove home from Woodlawn to Odenton about 12:45. Main and secondary roads were slushy but fine.

Yep, got a little sledding in and made a snowman and enjoyed the 90 minute snow downpour, so I got everything I could squeeze out of this event. Stormpc
Just plain old rain driving up 95 in Fairfax County.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
3-4” storm total here in Takoma Park. Compacted depth is around 3.25-3.5”. Very nice event and glad it didn’t change over to a soaking rain.
snowmagnet
It’s really exactly what we expected, but maybe a bit more snow on some areas. I got about 3-4” before the sleet and freezing rain took over. Most people got a snow day, so it’s a nice mid-week event after winter was canceled. Maestrobjwa
I had a personal forecast of 2-4 inches for Balt. City....and sure enough we got exactly 4"! Lol Of course there's a good dose of "what could have been"-itis here...but still not a bad event!
Buddy1987
Finished up with somewhere around 2-3” compacted. Currently have heavy sleet and zr mix coming down. Not bad considering I thought it would be rain by now. Temp right at
WEATHER53
It frazzles a few but the 30.60 High is going to always have some form of adverse effect. Cold enough it surely is but usually suppressive or introducing dry air as part of its strength. Tried to share this but got some Old Howard’s Almanac chirping so carry on. snowmagnet
I’m curious if we still get a deluge tonight, dry slot, or just light rain. Does anyone have any updated information?
mattskiva
That's a lot of sleet! (apparently an artifact of the forecast changing from "snow and sleet" to "freezing rain and sleet")
clskinsfan
This little batch to the west is just some light sleet.
midatlanticweather
Final was 5.2 inches. Driveway clear and melting is starting in earnest. Sun angle and warmth of pavement is making is all erode fast.

Danajames
Interesting how the dry slot goes right between Harford County and D.C. But there's some heavier precipitation pinwheeling towards the Capital right now and it looks like they'll be back in the thick of it soon. I'm wondering if that makes it up this far north, if it will be snow again. Also, there's a lot of heavy rain back west of us that has to move east from the Tennessee Valley and West Virginia. Hopefully, that will dissipate somewhat by the time it arrives later today.

ThePhotoGuy
In a lull right now. Mod-Heavy Snow for hours. Never noticed any sleet though. 4.50-5 inches.
paxpatriot
Officially 6.8 inches on the M/D. Some light sleet still falling. Really a fun little quick-hitting storm. Glad to see so many get in on the action!
