Eskimo Joe
Radar out west looks paltry. This has the makings of another underperformer potentially. I'm not going to be sad with that outcome.

coolio
Hey all, I need to drive to Springfield MA tomorrow or maybe even Friday. Want to avoid that Noreaster rain. What would be a good time to leave. Generally, want to leave the earlier the better. And, I feel that leaving friday would be most people driving due to Memorial day. (sorry if this should be in another forum. "banter" is usually just stuff about someone's new toy like a new car, lol)

stormy
The NWS has an 80% prob. of showers and storms before 11 pm. The convective activity in W.Va. is dying to the north as it approaches the state border. As usual, the NWS is mostly useless..........................................
IronTy
Socked in with clouds/fog at 53F and rain at the cabin. Looks like a strong line just to the west of us heading east. We have a flood watch too. At least I don't have to worry about floods being at the very top of a mountain!

Both develop showers tomorrow afternoon. Some healthy convective cores shown by several CAMs tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be quick hitters, but they should be interesting.
dailylurker
It's been drizzling pretty hard for several hours but not showing on radar. The precip on radar west of DC looks pretty nice. It looks like a wet evening.

I'm not going to be sad with that outcome. The line that just came through here had some juice with it. Very little T&L but brief torrential rains. 0.79" on the day with 0.56" coming with that line in probably 15 minutes.

A decent piece of vorticity rotating through overnight into the morning hours should bring some precip back into the area and induce a new coastal low.
