Radar has been pretty crazy to follow over the last few hours. Western edge marches east, hits a literal brick wall, meanders in place, and in the final frames around 10:15-10:30am, bands begin moving N instead of E, filtering heavy snow back into Columba and eastern EC. The low must be finally be getting closer to the area

That has to be near Dundalk. If you're chasing this, it really is a good day to do it.

Yeah North Point Rd and Beltway cross. Its been a beautiful scene, here. Thundersnow. Im not complaining by any means, but havent seen that big flake size that really piles up though. Only knock

Just lost a 20yr old river birch.  Also a large Holly tree literally just uprooted and fell over.  I cant even go outside to enjoy it because branches are falling left and right and I'd be afraid for my safety.  In terms of destruction this is the worst storm I've had since I lived here since 2004.  Even the derecho had fewer trees down.

Power still down too.

Warning verified here in OEC (extreme E HoCo) indeed. Lovely to see.

Congrats to the northern VA into SoMD crew on scoring big with 10-13” amounts reported and heavy snow still falling. Been a long time coming .

Here in Crofton, central AA County...

4" at 9 am...

6.5" at 10 am...

8.0" at 11 am.

4 glorious inches in the past 2 hours. Picking up the pace again. God forbid we go down to *only* 1"/hr! ❄️☃️

Isn't Union Bridge just west of Westminster?

Or are you somewhere else?

So it seems I overestimated the ground warmth and despite my diatribe being pretty ominous, I might have low balled. I’m glad it’s breaking that way. Went conservative and SUPRISE!! A blitzing to remember.

Enjoy the snow y’all. I’ll be living vicariously :)

Went out with the kids, took 30 min just to get them geared up and they were done after 15 minutes :D but was fun to walk around. Coming down pretty good, i'd guess around 5-6 inches or so here in Gainesville.

5.2" now in Columbia.  1.1" last hour, so 3 hours now with 1"+/hr rates.  Wind really picking up and snowing heavily.  Temp down to 29F.  WSW verified!
