December 16-17, 2020 Winter Storm Obs/Nowcasting

Recommended Posts

My 6 year old was jumping up and down screaming, "It's snowing. Everything is covered!"  Win! Anything else is bonus this winter.

Fatties mixed in. Moderate snow.

Heavy Snow/Sleet mix in  Downtown DC, but in last few minutes sleets seems to be winning out. Big ice pellets.  But all streets covered in white now

Moderate snow in SE DC. . But why tho? And it’s sticking. Let’s just get on with this and get it over with.

Why is because baro has exerted like  I said  it would

I can see the isobars still looking favorable for us, NE winds and flow at 850 isn’t off the ocean just yet.

It's pretty moderately snowing big flakes here in Fairfax/Centreville, just west of FFX City.  Hoping the snow lasts a while longer before the changeover.  On the Euro, we were fairly consistently on the western edge of the line of "have" and "have a heck of lot less".   I just measured 1.75"  I think thats more than last year's total.
