A good period of upslope winds made some light rain sit over the area today and bring this event to around 1.3 inches total. Still on the low end, but better than where I was this morning. Regardless, I loved early fall rain and its ambiance, so I made sure to get some pictures while I was out and about. Might be my favorite type of weather behind snowfall. Pictures were taken by me, but some of them were edited by my boss.

Breezy, temp remained in the upper 40s most of the day and fog/drizzle from sunup to sundown. Mother Nature took note of yesterday's calendar, jeez. 6.21" of rain this month so things in the ground are at least happy.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far this late summer/early fall. Getting these cold shots and coastal storms gives me a glimmer of hope for structure crushing snow on Tug Hill and potential for a HECS in this area.

one day we'll get a perfectly timed w/cold shot, nice bombing tucked low, that goes bananas and dumps 30" at DCA and BWI. Until that day... I will enjoy these seasonable temps - cool morning out there. Nearly 3" IMBY over the last 7 days which has things feeling crisp and green.

That should be fun. I've never had their Oktoberfest- not sure I knew it existed lol. Probably only available in the Brewpub. I'll be heading in the other direction after work tomorrow. Have a great time down there. Hopefully you see some 10 ft+ waves breaking.
