Love this kind of day.. Messed me up from some side work today apart from my main job...                            But enjoy just sitting on the porch listening to the light rain in the trees and gutters......Up to 3.18 for the event..

I do wonder if a couple El Niño induced paste bombs are in store for next winter.  Sure seems plausible looking out from here.

The inflows into the lake this morning were incredible to watch, need some sun or that water is going to stay cold.  A little surreal seeing so little traffic on the water for a holiday weekend.

I love a good 2 day rainy / misty stretch, but we're now on Day 4 and I'm missing the sunshine just a little. The upcoming modified Polar airmass at the end of this week will be fantastic.

Obviously I certainly hope so. Ever since moving here, I've been surprised at the overall lack of precip but I also know we've been in a long term drought for ages. After this wet stretch, we go right back into the dust bowl unfortunately. In looking at the stats for winter 15-16 (you can't use the Oakland weather stats...the reporting site is right next to the hospital building and is wildly inaccurate, so I use Bayard as a proxy - whoever is their observer does a great job) you had the bomb in January and some other precip during the second half of winter but overall, it's what you would expect during a significant El Nino. @dailylurker and I communicate regularly and have been looking for a reasonably priced snow camp up on the Tug Hill east of Lake Ontario to get our fix...maybe we'll be lucky enough not to need it this upcoming winter!

Beautiful city.. I think. I drove through it during their second snowiest day in the history of the city. I might of told you this already. I'll be telling that story for a long time lol. An epic LES band was parked over the city. I punched through it in four wheel drive. It was dark and scary, and it was 11:00am lol

0.05" for today. About 1.6 for the event. 2.86 for  May so far. Can't complain , but color me unimpressed .

Looks like sprinkle fest continues for another day. Looks like a new batch of sprinkles developing and headed this way. Crazy how sprinkles and showers added up to about 1.50" over the past week.

Drizzlefest '26 enters a sixth day and we have a similar total here.  I hate that we haven't seen the sun in almost a week.  I can't wait for later this week and weekend for sun and actual May temps for once

I have lol. It's just been a little frustrating watching the good stuff missing north and then to the south. We've had a few decent periods of rain but mostly very light rain or drizzle. It made for a cool hike yesterday. Felt like I was in a tropical rain forest.

I'm thoroughly tired of the rain too. I don't drive; I walk everywhere or use public transit, so I don't much care for rain at all.
