Herb@MAWS
79° at 8am on island if Culebra, Puerto Rico, high of 85 today. So sorry to miss this storm. I fly home late Monday so I’ll be lurking for best info possible to see what the weekend brings. Not expecting travel issues right now, but plenty of time for things to change. 1

nj2va
Captured this screenshot of the sun rising over Deep Creek Lake this morning from Railey Realty’s website. Low of -3 there.
snowfan
GFS was overdone on temps but did a good job highlighting where the coldest temps would be.....W and SW of 95.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Busted way high on temps which I’m fine with, don’t wanna worry about bursting pipes.

Hopefully we don't bust high today and hit 40 lol. Only hit 12 here. Busted by 5 which is typical during cold spells for some reason.
poolz1
Temp has really fallen right before sunrise. 7 when I got up this morning at 530 and has fallen to 3 currently. Nose hair freezing cold!
EastCoast NPZ
6F. Wind stayed up too long last night to bottom out. Maybe tonight.
MN Transplant
Even though the HRRR was too low and the 3km NAM was too high, I'll give them both credit for correctly calling that temps would keep slightly falling after sunrise. IAD is still sitting around their low of 3 or 4, BWI is still about 13. I got down to 8.6 at 8am. But our big local winner looks like it is Manassas at -1. Colder than any of the MD Mesonet sites except for Garrett Co.
wxdude64
Low was 1.8 degrees here, agree with @EastCoast NPZ, wind probably helped hold temp up a bit. Set a new 'cool max' for the date with the 19.0 high, old mark was 22 degrees in 1982. Nowhere near record low, that is -5 from 1987. The 1.8 with the W at 7 mph wind makes a WC of -11.
MN Transplant
If you want a perfect representation of microclimate and cold-air drainage, check out Manassas this morning. The airport sits at a low point, only 50-100' below the surroundings, but enough to perfectly bottom out in calm conditions.
