First one spent extra time in the eye so it might be tight for it to make another pass.

I can't post an image right now, but the low-level cloud swirl pattern near the surface inside the eye of Melissa right now is very indicative of multiple (at least five or six) large mesovorticies rotating around the eye. If that persists through landfall, pretty much any location inside the eyewall, regardless of quadrant, is going to get wrecked.

I doubt you find anything on the coast near landfall. Mandeville should be in the eyewall or just east and I believe it is somewhat elevated, bad scenario.

My wife and I honeymooned in White House and have been back a few times, traveling from Montego Bay to the South Coast. I don't think most people fully understand the poverty levels in Jamaica, particularly as you get into the mountains. Small shacks and houses not built out of concrete. Just gutted for the people and hoping it somehow doesn't pan out the way it's looking.

Lookner on Youtube is live with some pretty good cams from the AP that he paid for. They are in Kingston. And I am shocked how strong the winds are there already. This is going to be a horrific tragedy for all of Jamaica.
