frd
Many beach surf zone locations reporting temps of 70 F or higher. Seems about right for this time of year, as it is almost July. Next Wednesday looks like the next best day for more groomed waves and a period of off shore winds with as high tide during the mid afternoon hours. Went surfing last week, but it was not so great, winds shifted around and too many conflicting incoming swell directions, that may not be an issue next week.
frd
5 degrees cooler here at time this versus yesterday. 87 here, 89 in DC., but a much lower 70 in NYC.

We went down on I believe it was last Friday, the offshore winds hardly lasted as long as the surf models said they would, and then everything was messy. Hoping for a better day next week. Wednesday at this point seems the best option right after the frontal passage, but this time of year offshore winds don't last long.
frd
From X Baltimore's Inner Harbor was the hottest location in the Northeast on Tuesday, reaching a gaudy 105.1 degrees. It hasn't dipped below 87 degrees the last two nights — a June record. That's the same as Dubai in the Persian Gulf. Baltimore is currently the Dubai of the Northeast. I guess this is good if it's accurate - maybe not so good if it's not so hot. I didn't see the HRRR referenced in that PDF - is that continuing? dailylurker
I've been busy working and not paying attention. I look at my phone and see a flood watch and a severe thunderstorm watch. Then I looked at radar and short range models. I'm confused lol. I hear a lot of thunder from the PG County storm.
