Low 60s here, southerly winds and clouds mean we have a lot of catching up to do for temps. We won’t really rocket up until the front passes and winds turn westerly.

Temps jumped in a hurry was mid 60s not much more than an hr ago, now sunny 80, with some powerful gusts. Can you have a wind chill at 80? Lol

Re the earlier post about first March 80 degree since 1998...For some reason in my mind I thought we hit 80 several times since then, but checking my records this is the first since then.

Today is absolute fire! Beautiful day

Meh I don't need 80s in March.

Last weekend's weather was perfectly fine. The early heat only breeds bugs.

Don't get me wrong, I love spring, and I know the temps will be trending back to near, or even slightly below normal by Sunday or Monday. But to bypass early to mid spring-like 50's and 60's and jump right into the middle of June is a little too soon for me. It's not like we have to wait for months on end for this type of warmth to return. And we know that once the heat returns, it will lock in for several months. I wish we could just have a slow, but steady climb to this type of warmth. My high temp of 79.8 degrees is exactly normal for June 15th. As they say, "to each his own."

As things look now we may see one last snap of cold end of next week. After that it's anyone's guess

1977 notable for the freak blizzard that hammered interior sections as well

The early April cold shot will likely bring below freezing temps so we're not done with the cold just yet.

Afterwards the -NAO block will keep April on the cooler side. No idea how long that'll last.

It's only for one day, not like we are torching for weeks on end.  50's and 60's are back starting this weekend.  It's a nice treat for us to briefly enjoy.

Yeah 1998 saw local stations surpassing 80° for 5 straight days to end March.
