  1. I was 28 last night and there were still a ton of bugs flying around in the park today.
  2. Well hang in there. Take a look at the live cam. Thats snow now. I'd be more concerned with crowds this weekend. Presidents week is always busy.
  3. Garbage cans already rolling down the street here on the south shore. Anyone see the mention to March 2010 from the NWS in their discussion? That’s not good.
  4. What do you think about snow vs. ice for the southern part of VT? Trying to decide if Okemo will be decent by Saturday or do they get hung up in sleet/ice too long. The norther part of the state looks to get dumped on but I only have enough time/energy for a day trip.
  5. That’s what I said. Got to 54 here. Felt like April (Although recent April’s have been more like 39 and raw drizzle)
  6. Snowflakes here. Which is better than not snowflakes. So it goes down as a win in my book.
  7. Snowflakes mixed in with the falling leaves in Seaford.
  8. Wow. 34. First frost. What’s left of the tomatoes and eggplant seem to be ok. Love to see how deep into the season I can get stuff to produce.
  9. Finally got a chance to get to Tobay this morning. Beach is beat up. Ocean took several feet of the new dune they put up after Sandy. Water was crashing under the beach house well after high tide. Waves were really clean though.
  10. What a beautiful day on the beach. Swell from Humberto is dropping now, but great rides early today and honestly just beautiful to sit on the sand and watch it roll in for hours.
  11. This was that storm from Long Beach NY.
  12. Don’t know if anyone is awake on the immediate south shore, but look east. What a light show. Tiny cell blowing up out over the ocean. Marine warning says it’s 50 Miles south of Nantucket. Pretty cool and only something you see this time of year.
  13. Pretty cool. Up to 16 seconds at times. I look at the buoys often but would have just glossed right over that this week.
  14. So now you’ve got me curious. Long period swells from the Southern Hemisphere? Where did you read that, I’ve never heard that before.
  15. We’ll that was a show. And now it’s all fire engine sirens in the distance. Classic.
  16. Ok. Caught up. 93/80/113. That’s about as high as ive ever seen.
  17. I think its been mentioned but the extreme dew points make it a lot harder for AC equipment to cool a home and therefore can lead to more power usage. 100/60 will take less energy to cool than 100/80.
  18. 90/79/107. I might not believe me own readings if others in the area weren't similar
