Downtown DC is at 34 and raining. The worse ever. Frigid cold rain. Such a shame....

It's been 32 here all day with rain (and occasional sleet), yet zero icing.  It must be 32.1 degrees.  Literally the worst.

South central PA getting crushed. Altoona would have been the place to chase.

You know I see it on the radar looking out side its thats small flakes that fall during a blizzard type snow. during the really heavy snows sometimes your lucky and get fat flakes. but ill take this too.4 1/2 inchs the last 2 hours give or take.

Cant really complain about a 6-8 snow in December around here though. Had some incredible rates for a few hours too.

Are you new here?  Ji will complain at 80” snow saying he should have had 81”

6” here. Probably 2”/hr right now. 25*

PSU has the best location for snow in MD west of the Allegheny Front. He gets at least 1.5 times as much as Cumberland.

I’m not sure that will happen.  Snow in Southtown?  Never.

lol all that complaining and you ended up with a top 20 dec storm

I don’t know what the top 20 is here...but I probably need a few more inches to crack it. Very doable though.  Hrrr is keying on some wrap around tonight like the euro.

We had a bit of lull come through and it immediately went to sleet/snow mix. Looks like maybe a lull down to the south before more precip makes it in here. And we are gonna need the rates apparently for it to be all snow.

the next round of frontogenesis will fill it in.

Yeah I think we’re good for 2-4” tonight. 7” before we went to sleet.

Sharpsburg, Washington County. MD 420' ASL

4:15pm obs.  25 degrees(down from 26 @3pm)

Changed to light sleet at 3:30pm. Changed to mix of fine sleet and fatties about 4:10pm

6.25 inches snow.

As I'm typing this the snowflakes have gotten smaller and still mixed with light sleet.

If you can flip back later then total storm could get you over 8”

Still holding on to snow barely. Same measurements here as you have.
