MarvelMountain
Still sleet here but with much more ZR. Icicles forming along the metal roof. Here's a pretty cool sleet video I made a few minutes ago.
chapelhillwx
Sleeting hard here. 24 degrees. Roads are an absolute mess. It's surreal.

WilkesboroDude
Quickly coming to an end here...anything after is freezing drizzle etc...patchy shower may produce sleet.
superjames1992
Yeah, this thing is really making a run for it. It appears that the timeframe really moved up. I was thinking we were looking at 3-8 PM or so this morning, but now the whole thing has been shifted around three hours earlier or so. It's probably a good thing, though, as at least there's still daylight out there and sun coming through the clouds, which wouldn't be the case tonight. wncsnow
Sun is breaking through the clouds here and the temperature is quickly rising..

gritsnc
It normally takes me 25 minutes to get home from work this time of day (From Winston to Kernersville). It took me over an hour. Traffic between Silas Creek pkwy and 158 was pretty much 5-10mph the whole way. There is more freeing rain than there is sleet here. Haven't seen any more snow since this morning. FallsLake
As everybody else has stated (for the RDU area) it is sleet and freezing rain. This will be close to winter storm or ice storm criteria. I think all we need is >.25 liquid.
NavarreDon
Things have settled down in Weaverville quite a bit. I would call this a over performer for us! We have about 0.3-0.4 of a solid ice coating on every thing. Here are some pics from earlier.
superjames1992
Heaviest rates of the day so far. Heavy IP/ZR mixture.

Blue_Ridge_Escarpment
Sun is out, sleet is all melting away temp rising to near 32 VERY quickly Wow what a difference a few miles makes. No sun and still light sleet/freezing drizzle and temp at 28 degrees. No melting whatsoever.
