Thurmont dipped to 34 degrees, but just to the northeast Harney at its lower elevation decoupled to 26 degrees. 87storms
So is it gonna be cloudy and windy as our base state going forward or are we just in the longest La Niña dominant weather pattern ever?

I didn't get an answer directly, but LWX FB page has an image showing the growing season is over in the LWX CWA for everyone but St. Mary's/Calvert in S MD and King George in VA

Mrs.J
.20” last night. Quickly climbing up to 60 from a low of 45.5 at 7:04 this morning. Of course Mother Nature is going to stick it to me with the cold next week. Taking care of a friends horses till the following weekend and looks like I am in for it. Her farmette is up on the West side of Furnace Mountain and that cold wind will be brutal.

katabatic
0.28" I'll take it. Excited about the first flakes incoming. Seriously considering heading downwind from Erie for the season's first chase but just not sure it'll be worth it. But, more importantly, just happy the season is finally here. 1

I gave myself Monday and Tuesday off of work just in case something local is worth chasing. I might hike up to Salamander Rock in the Catoctins for a Monday late afternoon hike just to get a winter vibe.
