Snowedin
No rain here just a complete steambath all around. Didn’t think we could top the humidity levels we had earlier in the season but here we are! Sadly looks like any good moisture will stay to our north. 1 1

NW_of_GYX
Indeed. 91/92 the past 2 days, and here in the woods we aren't likely to reach the upper 90s of the AUG/BGR airports. (That 92 sets a new max for August here.) We've had only 2 heat waves here, June 27-29, 1999 and August 13-15, 2002. Only some siggy clouds would prevent #3 as today's launch pad was near 60, again - relatively dry equals quick heat. Rode this NNE heat wave out in the Allagash, just returned this evening but was on the river since last Thursday. Holy shit what a bizarre yet amazing trip - this was my tenth and truly one of a kind. Never put a rain fly on the tent and basically lived in the river when not paddling. Truly a unique experience for a northern river trip. Water was scary warm in the main stem but we still managed to find and eat some brookies from the feeder streams. 8

Well represented in the spatial depictions, too. A significant overhaul of the hemispheric foot pattern mode. Not sure if that represents the end of summer but ...considering D10 enters the last week of August... modulate for climatology accordingly.
