Paleocene Posted January 6, 2025 Share Posted January 6, 2025 I'm in the zip code 20910 just south of the 495 beltway and north of the DC northern apex, in Silver Spring. Just measured about 4.75" averaged across a few spots in the yard and on a snowboard surface. I was out shoveling from 8am til now. Went from SN+, to SN- with a bit of ice and frozen pellet drizzle (?) to back to moderate snow with bigger flakes in the last 15 minutes. Yeah Euro was definitely onto something from the start. But its a great event in that its a cold powder that is sticking everywhere up here. Those are kind of rare here. I'll take that any day.
