Weather Will
Very gusty winds, heavy snow, blowing snow looks like the heaviest band of this storm moving through now. Spot on forecast by NWS.
Always in Zugzwang
Rain changed to sleet then snow around 8AM here in Chevy Chase/Bethesda. Coming down at a decent clip, sometimes with larger flakes. About 0.5" now, I'd estimate, covering the grass and cars. Some roads and walkways are covered a bit too. No real wind yet, though there was a burst of wind very early morning (around 5AM-ish). Eyballing the wind like @Bob Chill, I'd estimate 5-10 MPH. Went out to the Audubon nature center to get some photos, will try to upload some later. It was so peaceful there with snow falling, nobody else was around.

Go ahead an book a second blizzard for now but leave space in the ledger for a 3rd or 4th. Still early.

Baltimorewx
Steady flakes but nothing too wild yet. Just some little patchy dustings on roofs, cars. Nothing on anything else.

Hey, I need coffee! OK...closing my eyes. It's a white-out, my snow board got blown to the next neighborhood. I'd estimate 50-60MPH gusts now. MDphotog
9 minutes ago, 87storms said: i believed in the snow, but definitely had doubts about the wind. wind driven snow (while it's snowing) is not our strength. maybe that changes once the upper level energy approaches. Missing out on wind is a sacrifice I’m willing to make if it means I keep the power on. Haha
Scraff
Exactly what @Bob Chillsaid. Make shit up. Starting snowing at 8:15 nicely. My deck snow piled up quick. Was kinda shocked.

NorthArlington101
Rates look to pick up again soon, which is good because the snow on the roads is starting to melt a bit!
Kmlwx
Radar presentation is improving behind the little splotchy lull that people are reporting. Filling in decently in NoVA and Western MoCo.

osfan24
Just can't get the driveway to fully cave. Don't think it's going to happen. Honestly disappointing. I thought the snow would come in like a wall with true blizzard conditions and roads would cave not long thereafter. Rates just aren't there to get it done. Kmlwx
With the "lull" in place - the temps are actually coming back up just a touch. Oscillating around a few tenths of a degree above 32 now. Assuming we can drop below freezing in a heavier band.

AdamHLG
^^ I was just thinking that. It will probably get here right as the last flake falls. I mean this is bonus snow, but the B word has been awoken and I am quite concerned it went back to sleep. .
