I’m the same way but I’ve come to realize many get frustrated and move on by March if it’s not been a good winter. It’s kind of ironic because you would think if we had a lot of snow people would be more tired and done with it but it seems in bad years when it’s been mostly a fail that we get a lot of “I wish this just just end” sentiment.

Its weird ( we r all whacos)...There's definitely a contingent of people here who matter what ...want to move on to spring come March . They are cut from a different cloth then me . The joke here  is I will track a sleet pellet in April but actually I don't particularly like sleet .

I’m in the group that once “snow” is a couple hour event (because as soon as it stops it starts melting and a day later it’s 60 degrees) then I’m done. A perfect example for me is the March 2013 storm. 11” of snow and I hated that event to it’s core. By 10 am that morning (most of the snow happened before dawn) it was like a flood of melting. By dark 11” of snow was at most 3 or 4. On the other hand, about a week later we had a very light event, but it was really cold for March. We had accumulating snow and snow and ice covered roads in the middle of the afternoon .... that didn’t melt. I really enjoyed that event. I guess as the name suggests, I love winter weather. And one requirement of that is temps below 32 and frozen, whether falling or laying on the ground. To each their own. But more to your post,  by about the third week of March, I’m completely done.

Than you are probably going to loath this event tomorrow. According to the HRRR we are 46 degrees at noon tomorrow.

Oh yeah. I have no passion for tomorrow. But I appreciate the laugh of the HRRR mention. Probably be 30 and heavy snow

I’m one of the weird people who is happy to track snow through March and even early April. We’ve had plenty of good storms in March, but this year has been really frustrating for a good part of this forum.  The pandemic adds an extra layer of frustration since people are antsy to get outside and enjoy some nice weather.  I can see why many people are ready to move on to Spring

My issue is that winter is all I've got. I loathe Spring and Summer with a passion. The growing plant life, bugs, heat, humidity. It's awful. So I start getting bummed around this time every winter just because I know no matter if there's wintry weather in March, were still right around the corner from the inevitable arrival of the warm seasons.

But each passing day brings us that much closer to fall.

Longer days, soft breezes, cooking on the grill, eating outside, working in the yard, playing golf, baseball, fishing....doesn’t get much better,  can’t wait!

LWX cutting back on totals for some

Models didn't change since this afternoon so I wonder why they're cutting back?     I guess they're banking on sleet being mixed with the snow .

I think this is going to be a boom for the M/D line there is  no mixing there, they will probably get more like 4-6".  Maybe 2-3" along I70 into the north side of Baltimore.

And the  1" line looks about right assuming mostly sleet and rain near the beltway.

Mesos still holding steady for later . I'm hoping Timonium/Towson gets snow . I'll be working down there all afternoon.

Seems like the HRRR has take  some steps back south of the MD/PA line over the last few runs. Good luck in Timonium, it’s right on the fall line so better chance up there than for me. I’ll be lucky to see a few mangled flakes and a few sleet pellets over this way.
