But I would hate to see him go out sacked into oblivion and with a massive injury, for example. Phelps knew when to hang up his goggles.

I agree he will keep going, however.

Yeah. I’ll be surprised if he’s useless when he retires though. He’s reached some sort of level where his cognitive game is so high that he’d have to lose it completely from a physical standpoint. Injury is obviously always a possibility.

I agree though that you like to see these guys go out on top. Like an Elway, Phelps, or a David Ortiz if we’re being Chowderhead-centric here.

I loved the Phelps battles in the pool.

I love the Olympics battles in general. A bunch of superhumans we have never heard of and only see every 4 years.

Bode Miller was a favorite. Basically a fat drunk. Bob Costas calling the Giant Slalom. Here comes Ivan Gorffendofferstein from Norway, the heavy favorite. A perfect Nordic specimen versus a pudgy guy in a skintight suit who is hungover and probably slept with an Italian hooker last night.

Brady is on the peak with these guys.

LOL. I loved Bode Miller. A New Hampshire native...from right near your new stomping grounds. I think he grew up in Franconia and did a lot of his early skiing on Cannon.

Stocks keep on flying . It’s a casino where the game has been rigged for anyone going long !

Put any 3 or 4 letters together , if it = a stock symbol  Buy it , chances are it’s going up . Seriously thou , we are at a time of so much new Innovative technology Combined with historical easy money policy telegraphed for years ..that a incredible amount of small cap stock innovators are soaring .

EV (especially with actual orders) vertically integrated  mineral miners ,alternate energy , Drones, AI, Gene editing ,Canabis Anything is FLYING now , New “Fintech” , Space as a sector ..and much more innovators that are simply just being priced as growth stocks with their associated valuations .

I heard Jeremy Grantham say that the total volume on Penny Stocks Being traded  nearly doubled in December from November and that was before January’s massive increase .Historic .

Small caps and micro caps have been going mostly vertical. I’ve been spending 4 hours per day ,(sometimes more) screening a good 100 stocks per day , incredible amount of bullish charts , it’s silly right now . Send out those stimmy checks already and the volume will fly even higher

A Spac play worth a gamble is NGAC..rumor today is they will be taking XOS Trucks public (EV Company with orders , working to build scale fast , 8 battery permits as well /Successful former Tesla battery designer and XOS has partnerships w Loomis and UPS . 13$

So many others that are a bit less speculative as NGAC would require merger rumors to be true

Oh God.  We can talk Stocks all Day.  I may spend COUNTLESS hours on Sports Statistics, especially Motorsports, or like my “GOAT of GOATS” one I’m doing now, and Try to continually be the Best “All-Around” Accordionist in the World, know music history and theory, and spend Countless hours with you Mofo’s whom I love like family.

But I’ve also been involved in stocks since 1998.  Yes.  My Elementary School Morning was Wake up and watch not cartoons, but Squawk Box with Mark Haines.  My career has always been music: but the One thing that ties my 10,000’s love of Video Games, Weather, Talk Buildings, Sports, Racing, and Stocks Allll Together....

Is Stats.  I Love Stats.

And Stocks are Stats with Money to be made on your opinions.  And I’ve never seen ANYTHING like what we’ve seen since March.  Especially Speculative stuff.  EVERY DAY I have a stock up freaking 30% and others 10%, and the ones I sold are up 50%-100%!  Had 2 today I sold last week that were up that AFTER I was already up 50%+ (ZOM being one).  It’s just Stooopid.  I never thought I would witness ANYTHING like 1998-2000 again.  But this is crazier.  BUT - We ALL know how that ended from 3-10-2000 to 2004.

Buy some gold and silver penny stocks. You'll make a killing,  do some research and pick some good ones, that's how I made my money on the last run  made ten times my initial investment.

I bought some penny mining stocks . Miners of gold , lithium, graphene, nickel etc.

I like to pick out 5-6 and spread my money, you hit on one and your golden (pun intended).

What’s the story with buying the really cheap stuff on Ameritrade called pink sheet OTC?

A lot of the penny stocks will be on the pink sheets, that's why you have to do your homework. If i buy 5-6 stocks I might hit it big on 1, semi-big on another and the other 2-3 might go nowhere or bust, that's why I like to spread my money around on 5-6.

@Great Snow 1717

I don’t want to clutter up the observation thread, but my wife and I are lucky to have bought when we did (March 2019) as we probably wouldn’t be going anywhere right now.

We kind of just scraped by and a lot of things had to fall into place for us to land this house, and it took some time.

Right now, we wouldn’t be able to even be in the competition probably. Cash buyers, buyers with financing lined up to the point all they have to do  is sign.

The zestimate of our home is almost 100k more than what we paid for it, and that’s not including the work we’ve done. Landscaping, finishing the basement, finishing a roughed in bathroom, etc etc.

We bought for 400k I bet we’d be pushing 550 now if we went to sell.
