For those who aren't familiar, Buddy lives in Danville near the NC line roughly 40 miles south of the 'cutoff' on the NAM. Rates will be key.

I'm actually in roanoke county which is a good 1.5 hr drive nw of Danville.

Ahh gotcha, used to live down in Asheville and remember your posts.  For some reason thought you were in Danville.  Even up there, you seem to be overperforming the NAMs expectations.

I just got NAM'ed.

Pretty meh for DC metro though.  Congrats to jackpotville.   Pretty surprising that this has trended north with every run.

Pretty cool pivoting feature of enhanced precip on the NAMs. Looks like a mini IVT with a hint of comma head. Could be a shelter in place couple hours for many in CMD

Fall line storm. Climatology takes over.

It shouldn’t be surprising.  At this point N. Arlington still looking good for an hour of heavy rates which would be cool to see.  Hugging the EURO.

Perhaps a good sign for later.

Man I hope this thing over performs for you guys. We were around 30 at 230am and then when snow commenced had shot up to 34. Once heavy rates had started temp dropped to 32 and everything has caved now including patios pavement etc.. closing in on 2" now.
