March 20/21 STORM Obs/Discussion- No Banter

Just flipped to all sleet in Gaithersburg.  It sounds like skittles outside.  32/30. Wind has shifted to NNE from SSE.

the banding on the radar out my way is when the globby giant flakes take over the sky.

What part? I’m still straight ZR. Looking forward to sleet because these ice accumulations are getting wild.

I’m very close to that location. Seems to be back to freezing rain here. Precip is light again.

I didn't believe it but based on other obs I went out and checked.  Let me update my observation for central Columbia to FrzRa/Sleet

Td fell to 29 at work in Gaithersburg.  Td down to 27 at  a mesonet site in Damascus.  Good to see.  At least this stalls any potential for a torch.
