Ramping up the elevated instability…not a bad sign. Just have to see if we can muster up enough surface instability. It’s going to be a short window but not impossible. Some of the bigger events happen when you’re rapidly increasing instability just out ahead of the approaching activity

Do you have to be in an enhanced risk area now for the NWS to put "some of the storms may be severe" in the zone forecasts? Just curious.

Fine by me. Took a week to finish cutting up the trees that fell during the 7/4 storm.

Gotta love how that intial heavy cluster of storms will not cross Long Island Sound into CT.  Seems like you could be at the beach where it's dry and go swimming and it would pour on you.

Yeah real tough to tell. Looks like there may be some breaks behind this stuff so we’ll see. Probably going to struggle to get enough CAPE though unless we can really pump the dews

Pouring Here..but it will be over shortly. Then there’s a big open break before the cold front comes through later…and we’ll see what that brings?

This round has dropped around 0.20” here.   Not enough, but slowing down the crew putting a new roof on my house.

def a good drink here. took a drive to Enfield/back and ran into some heavy downpours on the way there and again on the way back. cloud tops warming quickly though on the back end...lets get some sun. won't take much to get temps to jump
