Nearby mesonet gusted to 63 mph... 40 on my rooftop. Don't know how we managed to get just 0.01" of rain from that but....don't see much rain from any stations.

Some wind, thunder and lightning and light rain down here near Howell, nj.  Was anticipating some bad storms.

Thunder and lightning here but no rain, actual storm just missed by just several blocks it seems. Dramatic cool down, it feels amazing out for the moment.

Came home to indoor temp 95, highest I can remember. Basically beyond the capabilities of some window AC's. Not doing much. Actual high outside of 102, before the plummet to the 70s.

JCPL outage map is lit up.  Going to be a long time for full restoration on a holiday weekend I think.  Could be days for some?  My town seems to be leading the way with 95% of the power out.  Chester area also up there with close to 80% out.

Not when it's double time and a half or more plus holiday pay.  They'll definitely show up.

And if you take a close look at that radar you can see what happened. I'm on the northern side of Piscataway, close to the border of South Plainfield. You see the heavier echoes to the east and west -- I'm in that narrow little area in between where you don't see the bright echoes. Somehow I got split and got only a couple hundreths of an inch of rain, lol. Very disappointing. But as I said, thankful that I didn't lose power. I hear a lot of sirens out there so obviously there is quite a bit of damage from the near 60mph wind gusts that we had ahead of the line.

That is one hell of a map.  I would expect problems on a night like tonight, but JCP&L has the worst record of keeping lights on.  They are always the highest outages measured by percentage of their total customers.
