I agree. Some surfaces, especially sidewalks, formed some puddles by like 7pm, and it was game over. No chance to accumulate on that, even though we were probably getting like 1"/hr rates on the backside.

Snow came up to the bottom of the patio table, which should be 20+ of clearance. Might be the most snow that area has seen in decades. 

Friends in Broadkill Beach lost power at 9:45 last night and it's still out.  But they said Dogfish Brewery still has power, so there's that!

The rain and puddles were a major issue. There are parts of my yard that have zero accumulation

Beautiful dendrites falling even though the sun is trying to peak out. Pretty sure I tacked on a little more since 7. Will measure soon.

Not going out to measure so will use my deck eye system. A solid 2” on the table cover that is shielded from wind. Grassy surfaces have some completely covered spots while others you can see vegetation peaking through. No pavement coverage minus the blown snow. As usual due to other areas around Frederick Co., mainly in the mountains and N. Fred Co. FCPSMD is closed. Glad my kids are graduated as these kids will be in school till mid June at this rate or loose spring break days. Still have snow flying here and the winds are just yuck.

College kids report is the DC kid has a late start but she has an afternoon class so does not affect her. PA kid woke and promptly texted that her 8:30 is canceled. The excitement was shown in capital letters. All in all, minus the wind as I absolutely dislike wind, any storm I do not have to shovel my driveway is a win. MD weather will never cease to baffle me. Between the topography and smaller size it literally is a grab bag of surprises.

North side of Frederick got zilch until this morning.  Now at least my grass is 80% covered so it looks nice.  Probably going with 0.2" of snow in my CoCoRaHS today

8:30am Monday morning Columbia imby low 29, current 30. Just shoveled a couple inches (will measure soon; looks like maybe +/- 3” considering compaction) and cleaned off cars. Pretty easy. Yeah we missed the big snows but I’m happy with a rewhitened wintry look for 2, maybe 3 days, as everything slowly melts away with no back-breaking effort needed. Sun trying to poke thru amid constant flurries/snowshowers.

Made the drive into the office from Hagerstown area to Frederick.  Snow amounts definitely picked up around MD65 (the outlets) and increased as you got closer to South Mountain on I70.  Surprised there wasn't more of a noticeable increase on South Mountain as it seemed like there was a band that was sitting over it all night, but it was gorgeous looking.  Middletown / Myersville valley looks like it had a nice amount on the ground, maybe 6in at least, but hard to tell from the highway.  Hit that remaining snow band there, coming down rather nicely still.  Maybe that is the *REDACTED* that everyone has been excitedly speaking about.  Braddock Heights had some good-looking amounts on the ground as well, but once you were down off there the snow totals fall back down relatively quickly for Frederick city, at least on the south side.  Overall highways were fine, and the scenery is amazing.

Good summary of the distribution with this storm.  I was seeing reports of a few inches of snow just a few miles away from where it was still raining yesterday.  The micro-scale of this storm was fun to watch

I really think the ground temps hurt a lot of us.  I noticed there was a day last week when all the snow-crete melted away and I think right around then is when we finally lost that cold ground temps we had for Jan and early Feb.  I think I looked at the MD Mesonet and ground temps were in the high 30's maybe touching 40.  If we still had the really cold ground temps we probably would have done better with the marginal temps.

Wish I had some free time to go get some photos all through the "valley" there.  I bet Catoctin looks just as good as well.  Perfect postcard snow while still be relatively clear for travel.

Awesome storm here in Southern Delaware. There's trees down everywhere, power outages. It looks like about 15" here in Harrington Delaware.

I did. Measured in multiple locations for an average of 4.25” was some 4.5-5” spots on grass and 4” on my car I came up with 4.25” and makes since there’s reports just to my south and east of 4-5” amounts.
