Airports:  DCA 13, IAD 6, BWI 8.  Mine was 9.1 and most of northern VA looks to be in the 6-12 range.  But MD is...cold.

Here's a fun one.  At my house (6.8), BWI (9), and DCA (10), the coldest temperatures of this stretch were on Saturday morning, before the storm.

I am about 2 miles SE of the -6 reading in Wash Co.  Can confirm a -6 reading at the house this morning before leaving for work.  .7 degrees shy of the record low imby of -6.7 in February 2014.

11.1 degrees here at 7 am. Temp dropped to about 10 degrees then locked once the clouds rolled in about midnight.

Had to drive out about 15 miles to the Montgomery county agricultural history farm park this morning to see negatives. My wife now thinks I'm a nutjob. But it was worth it. Low of 4 degrees at home

Welp drove into dc what a mess, a lot of roads still snow packed. Most streets only one way, people parked in travel lanes.  Dc with their usual very half assed plowing except this time it isn’t melting off on its own after 2 days like usual.  Dcps probably shouldn’t be open.

Overnight low of 8 here is one less than yesterday's 9, and one above the 7 low for the season. Anemometer was spinning slowly most of the night.

It's 8 inches of compressed snow and sleet (harder than concrete) plus a week of record cold. a generational weather event in a municipality that doesn't control its own budget. public transit is barely functional (bus lanes are blocked by mountains of ice) so people are understaffed. Plus it's dangerously cold out. i'm not sure what people are expecting. 

wednesday and thursday, i had to walk 2 miles to work with my dog on my back in a backpack because there was no one to watch him. great exercise though!

The only thing I would expect is dcps could’ve closed.

For everyone’s awareness the Clarksville Mesonet location is in a bit of a cold sink. Not at the bottom of it, but down far enough to have it be anomalous compared to the surrounding area. The Hancock station (-9) is in a park that a stream runs through. Likely colder, but not anomalous of other low areas in the broader ridge/valley region.
