It's remarkable that every CAM has a forced line of convection tomorrow morning arriving on the west side of DC around 7AM and hitting the eastern side around 8.   I'm also very intrigued by all CAMs showing a broken line on the secondary front in the early afternoon.   This environment will have some CAPE and some low freezing levels, so I suspect that these could be accompanied by small hail or graupel.

      Same here!    As for the overnight rainfall, a bunch of HRRR cycles late yesterday showed a significant minimum in the precip for most of the area.   I dismissed it, because it really didn't fit the narrative, but it was spot on.

A 6 model blend yesterday dropped around .70" on Augusta.

I received .33".

0.77" here. Wild day/night. Was stuck near 40 all day with light rain and drizzle, then around midnight temp started to climb to a high of 51.6 around 3 am with a strong squall like storm with 35 mph winds and heavy rain. temp dropping again, now 43.4/34.7 at 7:45 am.

Another snoozer event. If it's going to be fall for the foreseeable future I hope we can at least get some fun storms or maybe a rainy day. Endless 45-55 degree weather and dry is as boring as it gets.

.33 here in 21057  High temp of 56.7 but falling fast since.  Down to 49.8.  I pulled the cars out so the last showers can wash the salt off.

0.92” at mi casa in Londontowne

Got lucky with the way it all setup. I had the min running AAco when I did the national precip forecast yesterday. Ended up verifying a bit more west, but that idea of a min was there. This was more pronounced than what even I saw. Later runs kept getting sharper with it. Stinks for those that missed out

Taking care of a friends horses over the holidays. Waited out the rain as they go out during the day. Saw that the Wind Advisory has been upgraded to a High Wind Warning. So tonight’s feed on the side of Furnace Mountain will be fun… not. On the way back home this morning though just pulled into the neighborhood and the younger Ms J and I saw this beauty!

Furnace Mt. should be windy indeed today. Always worry about colic with the temp swings.
