Personally, I hope to get a site atop Keyser's Ridge, Sideling Mountain, South Mountain, and Polish Mountain. Trade Polish for Big Savage and you have a deal! Honestly, I want them all but Big Savage presents significant logistical challenges for moving equipment into place, personal safety for maintenance, and cell coverage for stable data transmission.
87storms Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Today's weather is what I want for more than one day in a row. Looks like Wednesday is the last day of nice temps before the Nina cold/dry returns. Hoping the end of the week is at least sunny.

wxdude64 Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM Just enough water from the sky this am to touch the 0.01 spot on the CoCoRaHS gauge. Currently 41.8/36.0 with sprinkles. Temp fell into mid 30's around midnight, then slowly rose as the clouds filled in and the sprinkles/light rain started about 6 am. NWS calling for a 56 high here, let us see if they get this one right, unlike back on the 17th when I topped out at 41 degrees on a 55 degree high forecasted when it drizzled/rained thru the day. nj2va
It’s been raining here at McHenry most of the day, with bouts of heavy rain at times. 0.4” so far and 47 degrees. While it won’t be snowing throughout tomorrow night until Friday, I like our chances to see snow in the mountains, up to 1” or 2” in spots.

I just got back a few weeks ago from looking around the Keewenaw and it's absolutely killing me to miss the blizzard knocking on their doors. Any other time, I'd be on my way there. Crossing my fingers you have enough to play with . I'll wave from Richmond lol.

I haven't received any measurable rain yet. That 3-5" snow here would have required a vivid imagination!

Well, MUCH better forecast than last time, 53.6 high. BUT that came at 4:40 pm after the sun broke thru the clouds around 4 pm, was in the upper 40's most of the day. Looking at the McHenry extended forecast temps look good for snow making once we get to Thursday. Hopefully Wisp can get going in the next couple of weeks
IronTy
We made the drive out to the cabin in Swanton this afternoon. Drove through heavy rain for several hours, it was a mess. 50F here now with misty rain but we're supposed to get well into the teens with snow showers by the end of the week. Hopefully my first flakes of the season in person.
