At 402 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Martinsburg to near Purcellville, moving
southwest at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Martinsburg, Charles Town, Purcellville, Ranson, Berryville, Inwood,
Round Hill, Kearneysville, Corporation Of Ranson, Bluemont, Bolivar,
Shenandoah Junction, Middleway, Hillsboro, Gaylord, Clear Brook,
Ridgeway, Bunker Hill, Stephenson and Millville.

Still looks like that the best chance of widespread rain for those of us on the eastern side of DC is later tonight through midday Thursday.    That said, I don't like that the 18Z NAM Nest moved the axis of heaviest rain closer to the Bay.

Saw one on GR2AE as well. Wonder if some of that is due to the wind from the storms blowing up against the higher terrain and inducing some circulations.

Heavy rain and lots of CG lightning with this complex that's been sitting over Albemarle the last hour. Starting to get nervous with that line to my north really solidifying and picking up speed..
