My wife just got home from work down in the Pentagon City area.  She says it is a whole different world down there than here in Falls Church.  T is very believable.

No doubt. Not a speck of white on the ground in downtown DC as of about 4:00. Much different in east-central Fairfax County.

Nice little event out here. 2.75” measured and called into LWX. Should make for an ice palace here by morning.

Ashburn right?

the dry slot murdered the whitening going on outside in college park. maybe this last band will make up for it

Last band rolling through now.

Wish it didn’t have to end.  This was fun.

It looks like frosted cornflakes falling from the sky in Reisterstown.

Yep, just on the edge of it now.

It's intensifying as I type here, in eastern Moco. I can't see the grass blade tips either so I should be nearing 2'' if I'm not already there. What a great little event.

Snow train ride home.  Left DC at 330.  Liquid rain;little sleet.  By the time I got to Silver Spring it was all snow.  Now to Point of Rocks 2-3 inches everywhere....will have to clean my car off at Brunswick....best train ride home in my 20 plus years of commuting!

I was on that 3:30 from Union Station -- it was PACKED eh?  Beautiful here too with just about 2 inches.

In December 2003 I left Union Station with just rain and had 8" on the ground in Germantown.  Another great ride was the "psuhoffman storm" of 2011.  Left with rain and arrived to 4" and blinding snow.

That band ripped through Manassas near the Fairfax County line. Still coming down hard, eyeballing near 2 if not more.

Maybe 0.3" in N Arlington. Band weakened just as it approached, but making a last gasp for accumulation on side streets or sidewalks. I need to move to Leesburg.

Slowly building...the anticipation is killing me.

Trust me, it's worth the wait.  This back end is EJ worthy.  Totally amazing.

2.5” in Germantown and no returns overhead but low visibility. What an event!

That happens often with bands of mod or heavy snow. It takes a little while for the snow to finish falling below the radar beam. Same thing happens when a band approaches but in reverse.
