Not sure I agree with the move to discontinue. I thought it was a good warning sign for average peeps to understand a storm had increased risk.

I still think the wording of "winter weather advisory" is still really confusing to most people, especially if issued over winter storm watch (if NWS backtracks). I think NWS do need to get rid a lot of stuff, but I don't know about getting rid of blizzard watch...

Maybe you were just never used to looking for them to notice... B)

Haha.

In case y'all are wondering, I haven't been in a blizzard warning before and never experienced blizzard conditions outside 6,000' peak in NC while winter hiking. Shocker, I know.

Yeah we mentioned that a few days back about massive easterly inflow. That signal was there days ago . Freak asked me why I thought heavy snows got way back into NY state. And why would I post that when qpf showed nothing . Well. He’s got his answer .

Haha ok we'll still wait for those SN/+SN obs and warnings out of ALY.

U should be pantsless.

Scott are you concerned about winds and power at your location

Not really. If we had strong NE winds I would be, but I think as winds go north and cold air moves down..that limits the low level mixing of stronger winds. It's why the interior rarely gets winds much above 40mph in these. Except for Boxing Day 2010. I thinking those issues are more cstl Plymouth county on south to Cape. Unless this moves over Diane's fanny. LOL.
